1. How can I receive notifications via my desktop browser?


Get breaking news and editor's picks from Nikkei Asia via your desktop web browser. Instructions differ depending on the browser you use. Find instructions for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Firefox.


Please note this feature may not function in incognito mode and guest mode.


You can either automatically or manually allow desktop notifications.


Automatically


1. Visit our homepage.

2. Your browser will display a pop up like this.

5. Click “Allow”.


3. Click "Continue".

4. Your browser will display a pop up like this.

Manually


Google Chrome


1. Click the “lock” icon on the upper left of your browser’s URL bar.

2. Click ‘Site Settings’.

3. Clicking ‘Site Settings’ will bring you to a list of permissions. Find ‘Notifications’ and set the permission to ‘On’ or ‘Allow’.
