1. How do I log in to the website?


Click the "Log In" button at the top of the webpage and type in your email address and click “Next.” If you have set your password, type it in. If you haven’t, an access code will be sent to your email address. Follow the instructions in the window and the mail.


[Not receiving an access code]

you should have received an automatic response via email -- "Your access code is 〇〇〇〇〇〇'' from

nikkeiasia_noreturn@namail.nikkei.com at your registered email address. Please check your inbox. If you cannot find the mail, please check below.

 - The email address entered is correct.

 - Add namail.nikkei.com as a trusted email domain in your email's address book.

 - Check with your email provider to ensure email from namail.nikkei.com isn't blocked.



If you are not able to log in, check if you used a different email address or password to register. If you forgot your password, you can reset your password via the "Forgot password?" link located in the Login window.


Even If your subscription expires, you will be able to log in to the website. If you cancelled the auto-renewal of your subscription, you should have received an automatic response via email -- "Auto-renewal has been deactivated — Nikkei Asia'' at your registered email address. Please check your inbox.



[The login button does not appear.]


We understand that the “Log in” button does not show up for some of our subscribers accessing via desktop browsers due to an issue with our login management system. To solve this issue, please access the Login Troubleshoot page and refer to the instructions.


If you are using the Firefox browser, disabling Enhanced Tracking Protection might resolve the issue by allowing trackers for asia.nikkei.com. To disable it:


1. Visit asia.nikkei.com

2. At the left of the address bar, click the shield icon.

3. At the top right of the panel, toggle off the Enhanced Tracking Protection switch.

2. Can I access the website from any browser?


You may not be able to use part or all of the website, depending on your browser. If you cannot access the website, please contact us.



3. I am required to log in every time. Is there any way to stay logged in?


Normally, you are kept logged in for a certain period of time. However, depending on your device and/or browser settings, you may be logged out when you close your browser. Please confirm your settings, including those for cookies.To access the “Your account” page, you have to log in for security reasons.



4. How do I access weekly editions archive on the web?


Visit https://asia.nikkei.com/Print-Edition/Archives
Please note that we has discontinued the printed edition. The final edition was published on the web on September 19th, 2024.


5. How do I search for articles?


Type a word related to your search in the search box at the top right hand corner and click the search button. On the search results page you can sort and filter your search results by using the options on the left side of the page.



6. Can I print articles?


Click the "Print" button on the left of the article you want to print. A printer-friendly version of the article will be shown in a separate window.


The printing of articles is strictly meant for personal use only. If you intend to use articles for commercial purposes, please contact us for further information.



7. Can I use desktop browser notification?

9. Which browsers and operating systems are best for accessing Nikkei Asia?


We recommend the latest versions of the following browsers and OS as the browsing environment for the Nikkei Asia website.

OS: Windows, macOS, Android, iOS
